The Mahabharata is an Indian epic tale. This bas-relief is from the Battle of Kurukshetra. It was a deadly combat. Interesting enough, unlike the Ramayana which is still pervasive throughout modern Cambodian society, the Mahabharata story is virtually unknown. It faded with the decline of the Angkor Empire.
